UKYAA Award – Official Rules and Guidelines

Submission Deadline
All entries must be submitted online by 11:59 pm Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on 10 July 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted and no extensions will be granted. -
Submission Method
All entries must be submitted via the official online Entry Form. Email submissions will not be accepted. -
Eligibility
The competition is open to participants aged 4–28 worldwide. Proof of age, identity, or eligibility may be requested at any time. Age requirements may vary across different competitions/award and categories. -
Original Work
All submitted artwork must be the original work of the participant and must not infringe any copyright or third-party rights. Copying existing artworks, characters from films, cartoons, or other copyrighted materials is not permitted. -
Exclusive Submission
Submitted artworks must not have been entered into other competitions. -
Number of Submissions
Participants may submit multiple artworks and may also enter multiple competitions organised by UKYAA. Each artwork must be submitted separately and cannot be resubmitted across different entries. -
Awards and Certificates
All participants will receive a digital certificate of participation. -
Submission Requirements
Applicants must complete all required fields in the online Entry Form, including uploading a photograph, scan, or video of the original artwork. Please refer to the Submission Guidelines for detailed specifications. -
Parental/Guardian Consent
Participants under the age of 18 must provide accurate parent, guardian, or teacher contact information. Failure to provide valid information may result in disqualification. -
Content Restrictions
Submitted artworks must not contain nudity, explicit, or inappropriate content. -
Right to Disqualify
The UK Young Artists Association reserves the right to disqualify any submission deemed offensive, inappropriate, or in violation of these rules. -
Compliance
Entries that do not comply with all rules and submission requirements may be disqualified. -
Winner Notification
Winners and their parent, guardian, or teacher may be contacted prior to the official announcement. All winners will be notified by email before public release of results. -
Usage Rights
By submitting their artwork, participants grant the UKYAA Award, the UK Young Artists Association, and its competition partners the right to use submitted artworks for promotional, educational, and publicity purposes in all media worldwide, in perpetuity. Submitted artworks, artwork descriptions, and participants’ information (including name, country, and age) may be published and shared with the media. -
Terms of Use
By entering the UKYAA Award, participants agree to be bound by the UKYAA Terms of Use. -
Use of AI Tools
Submissions must reflect the participant’s own creative work. The use of AI-generated content without significant human authorship is not permitted and may result in disqualification. -
Fairness and Integrity
The UKYAA Award is committed to conducting the competition fairly, ethically, and with integrity. -
Intellectual Property
Participants retain full copyright of their submitted artworks. By entering the competition, participants grant the UKYAA Award, the UK Young Artists Association, and its competition partners a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display the submitted works for promotional, educational, and publicity purposes. -
Data Protection
Personal data provided during the submission process will be used solely for the administration of the competition and related communications. All data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. -
Liability
The UK Young Artists Association shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or technical issues affecting submissions, including but not limited to file corruption, upload failures, or system interruptions. -
Judging and Decisions
All submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges based on the competition criteria. While we strive to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation process, all judging decisions are final. Due to the high volume of entries, we are unable to provide individual feedback or enter into correspondence regarding specific results. -
Grounds for Disqualification
The UK Young Artists Association reserves the right to disqualify any submission that is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or in breach of these rules. -
Interpretation of Rules
In the event of any dispute regarding the rules or their interpretation, the decision of the UK Young Artists Association shall be final.
Rights
The applicant agrees that the UK Young Artists Association will retain the submitted artwork and artwork description, and may use them for promotional, educational, and communication purposes in all media worldwide, in perpetuity.
Artwork, artwork descriptions, and selected applicant information, including name, country, and age, may be used in publications and distributed to the media.
