Terms of Use

The UK Young Artists Association website (the “Site”) is a platform designed to promote young artists and their work, operated by the UK Young Artists Association (“UKYAA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

 

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use, which constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UKYAA governing your use of the Site. Please review these Terms of Use carefully before using the Site.

 

By accessing or using the Site and/or submitting any artwork or other content, you represent and warrant that you have read, understood, and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms of Use.

Modifications to Terms

UKYAA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time. The most current version will be posted on the Site, together with the date of revision.

Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Site following any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Use.

Consent to Communications

UKYAA may host user-generated content, including but not limited to submissions, comments, or other materials. UKYAA is not obligated to monitor such content and does not guarantee its accuracy or appropriateness.

​By submitting any content to the Site, you confirm that you hold all necessary rights to do so and grant UKYAA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and adapt such content for purposes including platform operation, exhibitions, publications, promotional materials, digital platforms, and related cultural or commercial activities.

  • We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove or restrict any content that is:

  • unlawful, misleading, or harmful

  • infringing on intellectual property rights

  • inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable

  • UKYAA shall not be liable for any content submitted by users or for any action taken in relation to such content.

User Content and Platform Responsibility

User Conduct

  • interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or networks

  • misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

  • submit content that infringes intellectual property rights or lacks necessary permissions

  • upload or transmit unlawful, abusive, or inappropriate material

  • modify, adapt, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Site

 

UKYAA reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where these conditions are violated or where such action is necessary to protect the integrity of the Site or its users.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

UKYAA respects intellectual property rights and prohibits the unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of copyrighted material.

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used in a manner that constitutes infringement, please provide the following information:

  • a physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or authorised representative

  • a description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed

  • the location of the material on the Site

  • your contact details

  • a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised

  • a statement confirming the accuracy of your claim
